A sweet treat from the heart of Manchester City Centre

This World Bee Day, we're truly buzzing with excitement to bring you a unique offering that encapsulates the spirit of Manchester - the very first honey harvest from our rooftop hives at Treehouse Hotels Manchester.

Last summer, as part of our dedication to urban ecology and community partnership, In collaboration with Volition Community and Manchester Cathedral, we installed bustling hives housing over 20,000 bees on the rooftop of our newest development.

This project was not just about producing honey, but also about creating a sustainable urban environment for our buzzing companions and contributing to biodiversity in the heart of the city.

The bees, introduced to their new city home, have been diligently working, foraging from the local flora, and contributing to the local ecosystem. Their tireless efforts have resulted in this golden jar of honey – a testament to what can be achieved through unity, hard work, and a shared vision for a greener future.

Volition’s mission is to aid unemployed individuals in their journey towards fulfilling employment through comprehensive training and upskilling opportunities. By providing a structured pathway back into the world of work, they play a crucial role in empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and combating unemployment. This honey initiative is just one of the ways we're proud to support their efforts.

It's amazing what can happen when we work together towards a common goal. This honey is more than just a product; it's a story of resilience, community, and the sweet taste of success born from collaboration!
