Property Alliance Group is celebrating after scooping two industry accolades at Insider’s 2020 North West Residential Property Awards.
Alliance was named Bespoke and Urban Developer of the Year and was also highly commended for AXIS in the Apartment Development of the Year (more than 100 homes) category.
The awards follow an exceptionally busy 12 months for Alliance, which is bringing forward North West schemes with a gross development value (GDV) of just under £400m.
Following many years of planning and preparation, the recent completion of AXIS was a particular highlight for the business. Designed by Jon Matthews Architects and built by Russells Construction, the 28-storey development is a complex feat of engineering, springing from a tiny triangular site on the bank of the Rochdale Canal at the end of Deansgate Locks.
Axis forms part of Alliance’s expanding residential portfolio, which comprises 900 new homes ranging from one, two and three-bedroom apartments through to family townhouses and student accommodation. Recognising the diversity of these developments, the judges said each Alliance scheme was “unique and complex” making it a major player in the residential market.
Managing director of Alliance, Alex Russell, said: “These accolades are the result of incredible teamwork. Topping the developer of the year category and being highly commended for AXIS is testament to the skills, dedication and determination of all those involved in our developments from the design and planning stages right through to completion.
“We are really proud to be recognised as a major player in the residential sector and to be helping to shape the Manchester skyline with schemes that will stand the test of time.”
Insider’s 2020 North West Residential Property Awards celebrate the region’s landmark schemes, along with the architecture firms, advisers and agents which made them a reality. The event was held at Manchester Central on 23 January 2020.
