IFCO agrees lease for 85,000 sq ft in Warrington
IFCO, a leading provider of reusable packaging for fresh foods, has agreed a 10-year lease for 85,000 sq ft at Kingsland Grange industrial estate in Warrington.
The deal follows recent expansion and contract wins at IFCO. The site will be the company’s first in the North West and used for the cleaning and storing of reusable plastic containers for the retail sector.
Owned by Property Alliance Group, the building includes extensive loading facilities, car parking, a large yard, and office space. It is located around four miles from Warrington town centre, adjacent to junction 21 of the M6.
Alliance will be carrying out a refurbishment programme ahead of IFCO moving into the property in June 2018.
Frank Taylor, at Alliance said: We are delighted to secure this deal with IFCO and welcome the company to Kingsland Grange. The building was formerly occupied by Amazon until recently and is well suited to meet IFCO’s specific criteria, including extensive loading and service yard provisions as well as a high power and gas supply requirement. The property also has the potential to be expanded in the future if required.”
Savills and B8 were the agents for the unit.
Jon Atherton at Savills added: “We are pleased to have secured IFCO as the new tenant so shortly after the vacation of Amazon. With a lack of good quality units in the area, Kingsland Grange continues to attract strong tenant interest and achieve rental growth.”
Cushman and Wakefield acted for IFCO.
