York office space fully let

Written by alliance_admin | Dec 11, 2017

Office space at 20 George Hudson Street in York is now fully let following the arrival of a new tenant.

RotaCloud, which develops web-based employee-scheduling software, has signed a 10-year lease for 2,742 sq ft at the Grade II listed building, which was previously home to York City Council. The deal means that all office space at the 23,091 sq ft property has been fully let leaving just one 1,200 sq ft retail unit available on the ground floor.

The office accommodation is spread over the first, second and third floors and is also home to tenants, including software company My Knowledge Map, engineering consultancy
Halcrow, and bus operator First York.

Located less than a five-minute walk away from York Station, 20 George Hudson Street of-fers Grade A space and has been extensively refurbished by owners Property Alliance Group. All of the building’s original, period features have been restored, including the solid wood parquet floors, exposed beams and glazed brickwork. Alliance has also refurbished all of the windows.

Rob Peill, head of offices at Alliance said: “We’ve made a significant investment in this building to bring it up the high standard required by businesses in the area. With such a lack of supply of quality office space in York, the refurbished space has attracted a lot of interest from companies of all sizes, resulting in a steady flow of deals.”

Joel Beverley, co-founder of RotaCloud said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the new office space, and are excited about the opportunities that our new city centre location presents.

“George Hudson Street is conveniently located for both our team and visiting clients. RotaCloud is a rapidly growing company and the abundance of floorspace that we have here will prove vital in the coming months and years. We’re very happy to be here.”

Lawrence Hannah and CBRE are joint agents for the scheme.
