Alliance agrees 15-year lease with new gymnastics academy 

Property Alliance Group has let a 18,400 sq ft unit in Eccles, Salford, to the Manchester Academy of Gymnastics.

The Academy has agreed a 15-year repairing and insuring lease at £6.95 per sq ft.

Located on Astor Road, the property will be used as a gymnastics training centre for people of all ages and abilities, including specialised classes for those with disabilities. It also comprises a studio for martial arts, yoga and dance classes.

Maxine Grech from the Manchester Academy of Gymnastics said: “We’re really pleased to have secured this unit, which is enabling us to offer a new facility unlike any other in the region.

“We will be offering classes to people from all backgrounds and abilities, including setting up a fund so that underprivileged children can attend too.

“One of our main goals is to have children from the gym represent Team GB at Olympic and Paralympic level, setting up our new home is the first step towards achieving this.”

Alex Thomas, development surveyor at Alliance added: “The size and specification of this property makes it ideal for the Academy’s new training centre.

“Surrounded by excellent transport links including two tram stops, the M602 and wider motorway network, it is conveniently located for people across Manchester, Salford and Trafford.”
