Property Alliance Group has completed its £80m Oxygen development in Ancoats.
Property Alliance Group and Alliance Investments have represented the Northern Powerhouse at a prestigious trade and investment event hosted by the Qatari and UK governments.
Attended by the Prime Minister Theresa May and Qatar Prime Minister Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the invitation-only event was aimed at increasing trade between Qatar and the UK, and supporting further Qatari investment into the UK, including the Northern Powerhouse regions.
The Alliance property and investment teams were on hand to discuss opportunities in the North West, meeting senior Qatar and UK political representatives such as International Trade Secretary Liam Fox, and Qatar’s Minister of Transport and Communication, and Minister of Finance.
Alex Thomas, development surveyor at Alliance who attended the event said: “We have a strong relationship with the Department of International Trade as we have worked with them to promote various North West development projects across the world.
“As a result of this partnership, we were delighted to attend this high-profile event and fly the flag for the North West.”
The Qatar – UK Business and Investment Forum took place in London and Birmingham on 27th and 28th March 2017. More than 400 Qatari officials and business executives were part of the delegation visiting their UK counterparts.
During the conference, Qatari finance minister Ali Sharif al-Emadi said that the country will invest £5bn in the UK economy over the next three to five years, focusing on energy, infrastructure, real estate, services and other sectors.
