Trio of tenants sign up at Leeds office scheme

Property Alliance Group has completed a trio of deals at an office scheme in Leeds city centre.

A total of 13,450 sq ft of space has been taken at 33 Park Place, which is located in the heart of the city’s commercial district and is currently being refurbished by Alliance.

UST Global, a leading US-based digital technology solutions and service provider, has chosen the office building for its first Digital Technology Hub in the UK, which will focus on incubating digital talent, specifically Data Science, DevOps, RPA, Agile and Testing.

Medisoft, which provides electronic medical records to more than 80 per cent of hospital eye departments in the UK, has taken a 10-year lease for 5,350 sq ft, relocating from Leeds Innovation Centre.

Speaking about the move, Nick Dodds, Operations Director at Medisoft said: “33 Park Place immediately charmed us with its prime location, excellent facilities and superb quality – all of which are vital for our growing technology business. We’re delighted to make it our home for the next 10 years.”

The third deal sees the HM Passport office secure 4,150 sq ft with a new five-year lease.

Rob Peill, head of offices at Alliance said: “Since we acquired this property last year, we’ve had lots of interest in the available space, so there is now just 6,000 sq ft remaining.

“One of the drivers has been the significant investment we’re making in the building, including a remodelled reception and entrance area as well as bike storage and a new on-site gym with showers. The property is also conveniently located close to the railway station and Trinity Shopping Centre.”

Alliance purchased 33 Park Place and 31 York Place from Aviva Investors for £9.5million. Both buildings share a central courtyard and were the company’s first investment in Leeds as part of its aim to expand its portfolio across the north.

Rob continued: “Leeds is a fantastic city which is seeing huge investment and has a thriving businesses district, so we are actively seeking further opportunities for acquisitions across all sectors.”

CBRE and JLL are the joint letting agents for both buildings.
