Alliance signs Anytime Fitness

Alliance signs up global fitness chain in Macclesfield

Property Alliance Group has signed up Anytime Fitness to 16-20 Duke Street, Macclesfield.

The international health and fitness club has agreed a 15-year lease at a rent of £50,000 per annum for the 8,083 sq ft two-storey building, which was formerly a night club.

Alex Thomas, development surveyor at Alliance said: “This building provides Anytime with a centrally located site, close to Churchill way which runs through the heart of Macclesfield.

“It also has the added benefit of being near to the proposed cinema and leisure complex, which will spearhead the town’s revitalisation plans. “

David Hoyle from Anytime Fitness said: “Duke Street is an ideal location for our new Macclesfield base, which will be the town’s first 24-hour gym.

“With local amenities on the doorstep as well as the train and bus station, the property is very accessible and convenient for both the local and wider community, and ideally positioned to capitalise on Macclesfield’s regeneration.”

Anytime Fitness was set up in the US 10 years ago and has been named the UK’s fastest growing franchise. It is now the world’s largest health chain with nearly 3,000 clubs open in more than 23 countries.
